I would like to see a price override option. This option will allow you to change the price of any item temporally "for this sale only" on the fly like at the POS counter on the register.
IE. Customer comes to your location, selects an item they wish to buy and requests a lower price due to damage to item or other reasons... (would need manager approval) you would touch the price of the item and change it. then a box would popup for reasons IE Damage,late delivery, price was advertised at a lower price, price match at other stores etc... or Other "type in reason."
I dont think this is much to ask and would benefit everyone using the system

They recently added a Service Charge feature that you can add. it can be a set amount or a percentage. It is called out separately as a service charge, not a tax.

I'd like the ability to customize and download my own reports. Also, all of the square reports should be downloadable and printable as PDFs... most of them are available online only.
Could you please add item counts and guest counts to the sales reporting.
Square provides almost all of the information I need to run my business, but it is organized in such a way that I spend 30 minutes every morning jumping all over different Square reports and copying into my own spreadsheet.

I second this! My spreadsheet has evolved into quite the amazing, auto-calculating, graph generating, multi-tab creation over the last seven years of using square, and I even have it automatically mapped to the CSV files that I export from Square daily/weekly/monthly, however, it is still more work than necessary.

The ability to swipe cards to open a ticket/tab and then run that card without having to hold onto the card. This is a complete necessity for bars/restaurants and should be priority for square to figure out. We've almost stopped using Square multiple times for this exact thing.

Yeah - We HATE that we have to hold on to customer cards after swiping them. Customers get so confused by this.

I own a bar and agree with you 100%. The interesting thing is the magnetic strip is going away in 2-3 years so Square and the others will be forced to find a new way to capture this information. I for one can't wait for this to be fixed once and for all!

Allowing discounts for multiple items purchased on the Online platform. For example a 2 for 1 sale, and it automatically be applied.

This platform is a mess. It takes me (and customer support) 20 minutes to access simple data. Simplify the menus into logical categories that are actually connected to the features listed. So frustrating. Will be looking for a better solution for my business.

My biggest ask for Square right now is FASTER website speeds! As a bookstore, we have thousands of items and our customers complain constantly that the website is incredibly slow. We have taken away the option to Shop All, but shopping a single genre is still cumbersome. Clicking on something like "Science Fiction" as a category still takes multiple minutes for the page to load and it becomes non-responsive as you scroll. Multiple people have told me they tried to shop through our website, but couldn't complete their purchase because the site would not load.

It is time for Square to move the hosting to AWS I tested the speeds of AWS-hosted sites and Square-hosted sites and the speed that AWS shows is super fast. Square sites are all very slow.

YES PLEASE fix the way the site calls up data from the servers! I have absolutely lost business because of it. I did the same thing the OP did and removed the "Shop All" function, also made the pagination as small as possible (60 items per page is the min), but doesn't help much. It is painfully slow and often takes close to a minute or doesn't load at all. It seems that it's requesting or pre-loading way more data than necessary for things are not even being displayed or used on a particular page; I see error messages all the time, dropped requests, random 500 server errors...

Just about everything about Square Online needs a serious overhaul. But yes it taking multiple minutes to Shop All on my site with 4 products was one of many deal breakers for me using Square Online.

Reorder and buying report - by location, how many are on hand, and how many have sold in the last 30, 60, 90 days. Should be able to pull this by vendor and use it to order and/or transfer product for multi-location businesses.

The fact that you can not print or even see how much inventory you have unless you go into every item individually. It makes doing inventory very difficult.
