I would like to see a price override option. This option will allow you to change the price of any item temporally "for this sale only" on the fly like at the POS counter on the register.
IE. Customer comes to your location, selects an item they wish to buy and requests a lower price due to damage to item or other reasons... (would need manager approval) you would touch the price of the item and change it. then a box would popup for reasons IE Damage,late delivery, price was advertised at a lower price, price match at other stores etc... or Other "type in reason."
I dont think this is much to ask and would benefit everyone using the system

We agree! This should be an option.
The new text messaging feature doesn't seem to work. We tried and the only person who can receive a text is ME with MY test account. So strange. An order is placed, customer included email and phone number, it is paid for, now the order is ready for pickup, and we cannot just text the customer and let them know it is ready. So we use a mobile phone and directly text them from there, which means we have to type in their number, resulting in potential human errors in transposing numbers in their phone number, and then the customer upset because they "Never received the notification".
We would LOVE to see the ability to go to their order or their customer record and click a button that auto texts them that their order is ready. The ability to customize the text block that they receive would be a bonus.

Ability to have reports run automatically and downloaded to a specific folder or online drive at the end of each business day. Tried to make this work the APIs; unfortunately, I couldn't pull the item sales data I was looking for. I'm sure there are other vendor that link into square that allow this to happen. It should be a core feature for square.

To be able to draw from ONE warehouse inventory across multiple locations. Meaning, if you have multiple locations, allow them all to draw from only one inventory. That would be extremely helpful to me.

I have been a Square customer since their first year in business. One area that Square has always lacked in is good customer support, especially in comparison to other similar apps I currently use. This has become especially noticeable as others increase their customer service "game". The community support forums, the blogs are all fine as additional support, but using them, you can rarely find the specific answer to you question, especially amongst all the clutter. A dedicated account rep available during business hours as I have with apps such as Applova and Otter, would help alleviate this concern, as well as true, 24/7 phone or direct chat support.
The other area that has recently come up a a frequent problem is, according to the representatives of other apps I use, is Square does not allow easy integration. And Square seems to lose the revenue that adding these service might provide. So I pay $99.00 a month to Otter, to aggregate my delivery orders. I pay $149.00 a month to Applova because they can offer a custom mobile app for my online ordering, that I can also embed on my website for online ordering.
Why everyone but Square (Toast, Clover Lightspeed etc.) can integrate other apps, but Square can't, is beyond me. I would love to, (and pay a bit extra) to be able to run my DoorDash and Uber Eats orders through my Square POS, and be able to track item sales through Square - which unless I've missed something, -- is impossible. However, if Sqaure were to do this, restaurants would need the same type of functionality that Otter offers, meaning you can adjust, and cancel orders through Otter. You can see when drivers are assigned and arriving through Otter. You can update, or temporarily remove menu items on all platforms through Otter.
It will be interesting to know if I am the only one with these concerns or issues.

I own a Retail business and find square is more geared toward the food industry, which is amazing, but for me this is my list
The ability to edit pictures on Weebly and not have to exit out and make adjustments
SEO - this is so important and vital for Retail
Google editing (maybe a spreadsheet to edit total inventory etc, not on each page)
More Dropshipping apps
CUSTOMER SUPPORT - it's so frustrating talking to a bot!
There are several improvements to be made, but honestly, I LOVE square and would not want anything else!!

Would like to see that coupon option at Checkout is really an "option", you should be able to enable or disable this option - currently you cannot. Seems like a simple programming issue (of course if you're a programmer ๐)

Hi - I think there is a "tab" function. We don't normally run them, but we have one regular customer who insists, and was always a pain to do, until one of my tech savvy employees discovered that there was an option for this function.

I would love to have more options when taking items out of the inventory. "Returned to Vendor" would be great. Right now we just have to mark the item as lost but it makes accounting a bit of a nightmare. Choosing inventory recount doesn't work either, because we still paid for the item, and we typically don't get the full amount back when we send in the returns. From my understanding, putting in that reason just essentially erases the item from the inventory, including the amount we paid for it.

I would like to see this as well. Plus an option for "Internal Use" for samples and such. We tried using Comp to reduce from inventory when it is Internal Use, but that still shows up as Sales Revenue and therefore skews our revenue numbers.

1. Pre-authorize credit cards for bar tabs. Or at least save it to run.
2. Split open checks evenly (i.e. 50/50)
3. Settle CC transactions from the dashboard

I would really like to be able to email my product inventory from just one Category at a time directly from my POS to my sales reps. I pretty sure that was an option when I first got my Square Register, but that option isnโt available now. I NEED it! Now, I find that I have to export my entire inventory to an Excel spreadsheet and โcut and pasteโ the individual Categories and item inventoryโฆ.time consuming and frustrating to have to do that! From the register is optimal but at least from signing into my account and doing it from my laptop one category at a time would be greatly appreciated!
Time is money, as they say, and Iโd be so thrilled to being able to simply and quickly get this task done! If this option is available now, then tell me how to do it!! Thanks!

I would like to see a whole section just for commissions I often take an order for a special item, take a deposit and having an ordering system that allows tracking and invoicing while it is in my inventory would be great. I know thereโs some of this already available but seems to complicated to me.
