@Helen ;
I do not swivel my stand around either for every transaction. When a customer comes up to pay:
1. Scan Items to build their cart
2. Ask Cash or Card
3. If Cash, enter amount, wait 6 seconds for the cash drawer to open to give change.
3. If CC, quickly look as customer shows CC if we see wifi symbol on CC let them know the can Tap on the White Square, as we pack their Items.
4. When all Items are Packed and CC is approved we ask if customer wants a Receipt.
If customer asks somewhere along the line if the price is correct or they thought is was Buy 1 and get 2 Free, I can show them the Cart and swivel the Ipad around. People miss read our ad and think Buy 12 get 1 free is buy 1 and get 2 free.
But again this would be great if we had an attachment that we could display items as we ring them up similar to the Registers Customer Display that worked with the Ipad or a Square Hub.

Almost 82% of my sales are Tapped sales. People are tapping their cards, Phones, Watches etc for their purchases mostly at my location. They are on vacation and do not always carry cash.

@Helen ;
I can not tell with Square's Reports even when I export them and do a Pivot table. I filter for Tapped; Dipped,Tapped; Swipped, Tapped, Tapped, and finally Tapped, Swipped. for last years sales because Square does not keep these sepparate in sales for an Export. I really do not care how a person pays as long as its the amount I charged minus Squares fees. I did see that last Year I was at 66% for the month of April for Tapped sales according to the Filters on the Square Dashboard. But again most of my sales in store are to people on vacation or a weekend get away, so they do not carry alot of cash. We also look at the CC to see if we see the WiFi symbol and just tell them to tap in on the Square reader for our Stands. We have not upgraded (down Graded) to the 2nd gen stands. I keep seing stories reports of them not reading or needing to be shipped back for warrenty reasons. We do not upgrade unless something is not working right, and so far the 1st Gen has been fine for our needs.

We moved from square stand to square registers. no need to swivel just tap the screen. much more convenient and transparent with the customer.
I am not sure if anyone has seen the Simpsons "tip creep". It looks like they are mocking the square stand gen 2 with the swivel for tip screens. I thought it was quite funny.

I would say most people tap their card or pay with Apple Pay (60%).
The rest insert their card.
I don't allow cash, venmo, zelle, cashapp, etc in the salon.
