DoorDash: Testing available now

Integration details

DoorDash and Square are introducing a new, more streamlined experience for managing your delivery orders. Everything will be handled in one centralized place, making it easier to keep track of DoorDash orders directly from Square. Onboarding and setup will be quick and seamless so you can get started right away.

Managing your menu becomes effortless. Menu updates, like 86’ing items or adding a new seasonal menu, will sync to DoorDash in real time, helping to reduce your workload. Plus, you’ll have enhanced control over integration management, with the ability to pause, cancel, or refund orders, adjust menu pricing, and change operating hours—all without leaving Square.

What’s changing?

The current integration has a more manual setup and is not built directly by Square. With our native integration, you’ll be able to access the Support Center for integration questions, make changes to your menus, items, and prices, or pause ordering and have it all update automatically across DoorDash and Square.

If you join the beta, your current integration will be deactivated when you activate the new integration. Our team will support you through the process to minimize disruption and keep your orders flowing.

How to join the beta

In order to join the beta test, you must meet the following criteria:

  1. You must be subscribed to Square for Restaurants or Square for Restaurants Plus.
  2. You cannot sell alcohol on DoorDash.
  3. You are required to use the new menu experience.

If you meet the criteria, log in to the Beta Community with your seller account and navigate to the DoorDash testing group. Request to join the group, and one of our beta managers will accept and welcome you and answer any questions you may have. As a part of this test group you’ll also be able to report any bugs that arise and stay up to date on announcements regarding the feature.

Uber Eats: Coming soon

Integration details

We’re working on a new, improved way for Square sellers to connect directly with Uber Eats. Our new integration is built right into Square, making it easier for you to get started, manage your menus, sync updates, and handle Uber Eats orders seamlessly. Once this launches, it will replace the current setup, offering a smoother, more efficient experience.

How to join the beta

If you’re interested in being a part of shaping this feature, stay tuned! Recruitment will begin this month, so make sure you’re a member of the Beta Community and look for updates on when this beta goes live.

Pleaseeeee contact me for the Uber integration beta! Just on-boarded this month on to Uber and would love to grow our sales but using the existing integration is so frustrating with the menu updating and overwriting.

Some wishlist items would be to Integrate Uber Delivery into our Square Website instead of having to refer users to Uber App/Web Store

Increase Menu Item Pricing for Uber only by a %

Obviously Re-arrange menu

Use stock levels from Square and OOS on Uber when OOS on Square in Realtime

We just stopped using DoorDash.  Incompetence compounded.  Not worth our time

Square Champion

I currently use an integrator called Deliverect and I would very much like to ditch them!!!
I would guess that by beta testing this it would kinda mess things up.

We use UberEats, Doordash, Ritual, Fantuan, and Skip. Will there be any plans to introduce new platforms?

One of the features that I LOVE with Deliverect is their Pick-Up Manager. This allows me to display a tablet at the front of the restaurant that drivers use to "check-in" with.
Basically its a web app that shows all orders in either a "being prepared" or "ready for pick-up" column.
When the drivers come in they click check in next to the order they are picking up and it then lets the kitchen know what order the driver is picking up for. This eliminates the need for the driver to interact with any staff, reducing our staff load, increasing pick up times and order accuracy.

I would love to see something like this.

I second what @thepenaltyboxca said with the ability to increase menu item by a % for delivery platforms.
