Double booking is suddenly gone

I am a hairstylist and I always book clients in other client's processing time.  This feature was always easy to use by holding down a finger on the blank space and a pop up would allow me to book another client or block personal time out.  This feature is gone all of a sudden!  Now I get a pop up asking me if I'd like to reschedule the appointment.  The only way to double book would be to click on another open space on my calendar and then go in and switch the time which is cumbersome and annoying.  Not to mention I'm not sure if it will allow clients that are booking their own appointments to see availability during other client's processing time. I am really upset about this and if square doesn't fix it I will look for other software.  Is anyone else upset?

I am sorry to hear about this experience with our Support Team @megandaystylist. I wanted to confirm. When you called our Support Team last time, were you transferred to our Square Appointments Team? (keep in mind that they are only in the office from 6 am to 6 pm Pacific time).

@JJ_ @No I didn’t talk to someone at the appointment team even though I did call between those hours. But thank for the info and I will try to call again tomorrow. Today I rebooted my phone, logged out and back into the app and also deleted the app and re downloaded it to make sure it wasn’t a glitch on my phone. None of that worked and I checked to make sure I was still signed up for the plus program which allows for double booking and I am. For some reason I have some stylist friends that aren’t having the same issue that I am.

I am with you all of a sudden it’s gone and it’s hard to double book my client too. I like to know what’s going on or why it’s gone.

I talked to the appointments team and Tracy was very helpful. This was a change in the software however, she said the engineering team is hearing negative feedback so hopeful they will change it back. It you can call and express your concern it might help!
