Hi ElisabethB. My name is Beth. I just joined on behalf of my wife and I. We have been with Square for a year. We look forward to meeting new people like us. My wife makes her own jewelry from mixed materials - semi-precious stones, glass, wood and ceramic beads. She started creating for fun. Two years ago, she had surgery on her foot and was non-weightbearing for several months. After 11 months the surgery needed to be done again. Again she was non-weightbearing for months. I set her up with a work station in our living room. She made so many beautiful things and I asked her what she was going to do with all of them. She said that maybe we should try to sell them. We started vending at a couple local craft shows. It's a lot of work but meeting the customers and talking to other vendors is fun.
I do the marketing, pricing, displays, and research. We are a craft show type of business. I am working on putting images on all the current stock. We would love to create a website. We welcome any help from this group.
Welcome to the Community! Glad you're here, and looking forward to following more of your business journey!

Welcome ๐ค
I apologize if I've already posted in here. I was recently diagnosed with Adult ADHD so if it's not recent, I tend to forget!
My name is Shelly, I am the owner of Renee's Greetings. I create and handmake greeting cards for many occasions, like birthdays, graduation, and such as well as holidays like Valentine's Day.
I am looking to do better with Marketing to drive people to my site and was thinking of doing a Giveaway type of event.
If you have any insights or tips, please share with me! My site is https://reneesgreetings.com
Welcome! ๐
Tagging some recent members who introduced themselves here to potentially weigh in with some advice for giveaways and marketing! @LDBM, @Faerly_Punk, and @DragonsCreation
Your cards are so cute. I love the designs. Are you utilizing social media for your marketing? Also, I noticed that on the card with the wood element and love written on it, that looks like a removable keepsake ornament. Is that correct? If so, make sure to put that on the description. If I received that, I'd keep the card in my scrapbook area, but I'd probably display that cute wood heart. Just a thought.
Hello Shelly,
The first thing I noticed about your beautiful page is that your Facebook link takes me to my own FB. If you don't have an FB page, you may want to get one, then join different craft business pages and direct them to your website. Find groups for women-owned businesses in your area and join them. I also am all for conventions like Comic Cons and Renaissance Fairs.
My 2 cents, good luck.
Hi Ann!
Thank you for your kind words and for catching my broken link! I have fixed that as I do have a FB page for my site. I'll look into your suggestions as well. ๐
Hi Elisabeth,
I am embracing technology and finally set up my webpage and account and I am excited to learn from everyone and build my little business.
I started collecting sea glass during covid, as a way to get out the house and keep myself motivated. From there I started to make jewellery and ventured into cabochon jewellery too. Initially for family and friends and on Facebook, but I have now commenced my square shop and webpage.
Totally love this forum and cannot wait to meet and chat with everyone

Thank you its a work in progress and I am lucky to live so close to the beach.
I bet you have better weather in America than we do in the UK at the moment.
But blustery weather is the the best for sea finds

It's firestorm weather here in southern California.... Would much prefer blustery! We do have a "chance" of drizzles Monday, which would be nice.
And pollution from south of the border has closed a lot of our beaches, so "sea finds" are picked up by gloved and masked clean-up crews to bag and take to landfills.
Oooh I think I'm going to like it here! Hello, I'm Amber, owner and maker at Ambootique. We make a lot of different handmade items. Vinyl decals, t-shirts, tumblers, home decor, and laser cut/engraved items from wood to leather! Thanks for creating a group geared toward the makers of Square!
@Ambootique Glad to have you here!

Hi everyone, glad to be here! My name is Shamarr and we are the proud makers behind Crismar Chandlery! We currently have a booth space out of an antique mall in Madison, Wisconsin as well as our Square website. We offer cotton wicked soy wax as well as soy wax melts that are safe for everyone (two and four-legged). So far, we have not expanded into shows and festivals because we are small-batch pourers but soon. We are excited to share insights with fellow makers and learn from others!
Thank you for taking the time to check us out and we can't wait to connect in the future!
