Can't add image to category

Hello,


Since square has been missing the feature to add an image to a category (even though it's been requested since 2018)... I thought I'd ask how other artist/makers design their POS grid when selling in person.

 

We sell maybe 12 different types of products in about 26 different colors. Because of the lack of features I'm forced to either have vague colors/letters/emojis to describe my products (can't find the right emojis to differentiate cats & cat hats or bears & bear hats, plus it's just UGLY).

 

So recently I've switched to making each types of item it's own product (that can have an image) on the grid page, but then I can only have text options for the colors... Not great for my helpers that might not know the difference between Mulberry pink and Bubblegum pink.

 

It's a shame one little highly requested feature causes such a headache...

 

Does anyone else have a similar problem and maybe a workaround?

Adding an image to a category is still a feature request at this time, however, if we have news to share here in future we'll be sure to tag you with any updates. 

Hopefully, other Sellers are happy to share their current workarounds for this with you.
